In the early morning hours of September 18, 2019, a tragic shooting in the Cherryvale community of Sumter, South Carolina, claimed the life of 19-year-old Christopher Antonio Thompson. Thompson, along with 22-year-old Michael Sigler, Jr., was walking down the road when a vehicle approached them, and shots were fired from within. Thompson was transported to Prisma Health Toumey, where he succumbed to a gunshot wound. Sigler was also taken to a local hospital where he too passed away from his inju ...
