Nigel Scott Alexander Batts, aged 23, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2021, in Sumter, South Carolina. Born on February 11, 1998, in Sumter, Nigel was the son of Reverend Joseph Watkins, Jr. and Bettina Catherina Batts. He was raised by Mother Mary (Ballard) Ragins and grew up in the Kolb Road and Wedgefield Area of Sumter County. Nigel was educated in the Sumter County Public School System and was a member of Antioch U.M.E. Church in Rimini.
