In the early morning hours of June 20, 2024, the life of 29-year-old Jasmine Elizabeth Anderson was tragically cut short in her North Charleston, South Carolina home. Dorchester County deputies, initially responding to reports of gunshots just before 3 a.m., discovered a man who had been shot in the middle of a nearby road. His account led investigators to Anderson's residence in the Dorchester Manor subdivision, where she was found deceased inside.
The Dorchester County Coroner's Office later confirmed that Anderson's death was the result of a shooting.
The day following the discovery of Anderson's body, authorities made an arrest in connection with her death. Geread Sonny Richardson, also 29 years old and who resided with Anderson, was taken into custody. He has since been charged with murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime. At the time of his arrest, Richardson was also charged with possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine. A judge denied him bond, and he remains in custody while the investigation continues.
Jasmine Elizabeth Anderson was a mother to four children: Marion, Jhournee, Jada'Rose, and Litavais. Her sudden and violent death left her family, including her parents, Sadeana and Larry Pinckney, to mourn their profound loss.
