In the summer of 2017, the life of 47-year-old Lisa Sargent was tragically cut short in a North Charleston, South Carolina, apartment. On the morning of June 28th, police were called to the scene with reports of a man who had barricaded himself inside and shot his girlfriend.

Upon their arrival, officers engaged in a tense standoff with the man, identified as 55-year-old Tommy Jones. After a period of negotiation, law enforcement successfully persuaded Jones to surrender. Once inside the ...
