In the quiet town of Port Gibson, Mississippi, the life of Carl Curtis McDaniel, a 41-year-old man, was tragically cut short on Sunday, January 15, 2023. His death, which occurred in Port Gibson, was the result of gun violence.
In the days following the discovery of McDaniel's body, the investigation into his death quickly led to a suspect. The Claiborne County Sheriff's Department identified McDaniel's wife as the person allegedly responsible for his murder.
She was subsequently taken into custody and charged in connection with his death. The community was left to mourn the loss of McDaniel, who was remembered by family and friends during his funeral services on Saturday, February 4, at Whitehall M.B. Church in Pattison, Mississippi. He was laid to rest in the Ellis Family Cemetery.
