John Robert Cade, born on May 27, 1940, tragically passed away on July 6, 1979, at the age of 39 in Port Gibson, Mississippi. His death was the result of a violent home invasion where he was shot with a .32 caliber revolver. The incident occurred on July 5, 1979, and it was reported that a man resembling Tommy Lynn Sells, a notorious serial killer, was seen near the murder site.
