On July 20, 2023, 23-year-old Raishon Rashard Frazier of Biloxi, Mississippi, was fatally shot at the Red Roof Inn located near Ocean Springs Exit 50. Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m., discovering Frazier suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
