Elias Eugene Trudell, a 23-year-old man from Colorado Springs, was found dead on September 2, 2024, in Columbus, Mississippi. His body was discovered inside a burning car at Luxapalila Creek Park, just south of Columbus. The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 call about a possible body in a burned-out vehicle near the park entrance.
