Alexander Demonta "Slugger" Brown, a 19-year-old from Columbus, Mississippi, tragically lost his life on September 3, 2012. Brown sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the eye during a shooting incident that occurred around 2:30 p.m. near 22nd Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Columbus.
