In the early evening of December 4, 2023, Timothy 'TJ' Dodge Jr., a 28-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in Muskegon, Michigan. The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 100 block of West Larch Avenue. Another individual, a 36-year-old man, was also injured in the shooting but sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was able to transport himself to a local hospital. Authorities have stated their belief that the attack on Dodge was a targeted act and not a random event.
