On May 3, 2023, 14-year-old Demario Spears Jr. was tragically shot and killed in Muskegon, Michigan. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on Jiroch Street, just a few blocks away from Muskegon High School. Initially, police had mistakenly identified the victim as a 15-year-old, but his father later confirmed that Demario was 14 years old.
