morning when police were dispatched to the family's residence on Geoffrey Street around 8:22 a.m. The emergency call was made by Kris's 33-year-old brother, who reported that his mother had threatened him with a firearm. He managed to escape to a neighbor's house after a brief struggle and alert the authorities.
Upon their arrival, Warren police officers attempted to make contact with the mother inside the home. Shortly after, they heard the sound of multiple gunshots emanating from within the house. Officers then entered the residence to a grim discovery. They found that the woman had fatally shot her son, Kris, before taking her own life. Both Kris Knox and his mother were pronounced dead at the scene.
