On March 16, 2023, 43-year-old Darius Mitchell was fatally shot in the 5900 block of Welbourne Place, a residential area in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred around 8 p.m., prompting a homicide investigation by local authorities. Mitchell, a native of Selma, Alabama, was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces.
