Malik Saintelus, a 20-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on January 18, 2022. The shooting occurred in the early hours of the morning, sparking an immediate response from the Montgomery Police Department. Officers arrived at the scene, located near the intersection of South Court Street and McKinley Avenue, to find Saintelus suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by first responders to save him, Saintelus was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
