On August 20, 2017, 23-year-old African American male Marcus Cooley was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. At approximately 3:30 a.m., Montgomery Police Department officers and Fire Medics responded to the 1200 block of Bragg Street following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Marcus Cooley deceased from a gunshot wound.
