In the summer of 2020, the life of 18-year-old Jamar Harris was cut short by an act of gun violence in Montgomery, Alabama. On the evening of Thursday, August 6, 2020, Harris sustained a fatal gunshot wound. First responders found him and transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
