In the autumn of 2018, the life of 27-year-old Terry Tallie was tragically cut short in Montgomery, Alabama. On October 3rd, police were called to a home in the Highland Gardens neighborhood where they discovered Tallie had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Friends and family remembered him as a loving and hard-working man with a joyful personality, who was always smiling and joking.
The investigation into the death of the young man, who was a father of five,
quickly pointed to a domestic dispute. Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from a conflict between Tallie and his ex-girlfriend. This dispute ultimately led to the deadly confrontation that ended his life.
Within a week of the shooting, two women were taken into custody in connection with the homicide. Shanterrica Goldsby, 24, and Lucy Smith, 29, were both arrested and charged with capital murder. Authorities announced the arrests to the public shortly after they were made, bringing a swift, albeit early, development in the pursuit of justice for Terry Tallie.
