On September 18, 2014, 34-year-old Joe Valerio was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. In the days following the incident, the Montgomery Police Department arrested three individuals in connection with his death: 18-year-old Antonio Easterly, 24-year-old Ronald Arms, and 28-year-old Casey Murphy. Each was charged with one count of capital murder and held without bond.
