On the night of September 18, 2014, Joe Valerio, a 34-year-old male, was shot to death in Montgomery, Alabama, in an attack police tied to a robbery. The killing unfolded in the 3400 block of Margaret Ann Drive, where investigators believed the gunfire erupted as the victim was being robbed, turning an ordinary Thursday night into a sudden, irreversible loss.
