On the evening of March 12, 2023, a 31-year-old Black male named Macyn Washington, also known as 'Lil Redd,' was fatally shot in Montgomery, Alabama. First responders found him with multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The violent death of Mr. Washington prompted an immediate investigation by local law enforcement.
