Jabriel Gwapo Willis, a 23-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on Sunday, August 21, 2022, in Montgomery, Alabama. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Catalina Drive, where police and fire medics responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, they discovered Willis with a fatal gunshot wound.
Within days of the shooting, the Montgomery Police Department announced the arrests of two suspects in connection with the homicide.
Quindarrius Streeter, who was 16 at the time, and 20-year-old Ja'Kaleb Spell were both taken into custody and charged with murder.
