Kevontae Reed-Blount, a 19-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was fatally shot on October 8, 2020, in an act of violence that left the local community reeling. The shooting occurred late in the evening when Montgomery police responded to a call about gunfire in a residential area. Upon arrival, officers found Reed-Blount suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to administer life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead shortly after emergency responders arrived.
