Rodrekes Zeigler, a 30-year-old man from Montgomery, Alabama, was shot and killed on September 11, 2015, in a violent encounter that left the local community shaken. The incident occurred in the early evening hours, near a residential area on the city's south side. According to initial reports, Zeigler was found with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
