On a fall evening in Montgomery, Alabama, 21-year-old Brandon Harris was at his apartment at the Liberty Square Apartments on October 27, 2014. Around 9:30 p.m., he stepped outside to meet with someone who had arrived in the parking lot in a small, white, four-door car with tinted windows. Not long after, Harris was discovered in a breezeway of the apartment complex, bleeding profusely. He died from his injuries, and his death was classified as a homicide.
