Andre Wilson Fort, aged 32, was fatally shot on August 27, 2018, in Warren, Michigan. The incident occurred in the mobile home of Reinaldo Jamison, a distant cousin of Fort. According to Jamison's testimony, Fort entered his home and confronted him with a gun. Jamison claimed that he acted in self-defense, stating that he managed to strip the gun from Fort during a struggle and subsequently fired seven shots, six of which hit Fort, including two in the head.
