In the chill of a December evening in Warren, Michigan, a senseless act of violence irrevocably shattered a family’s anticipation of Christmas joy. Brandon David Zaner, a 38-year-old white male, was working a shift at Bray's Hamburgers on December 21, 2024, earning extra money for the holidays. Shortly after 10 p.m., he walked across the street to a Shell gas station at the corner of Nine Mile and Dequindre roads to grab a cup of coffee.
