In the late afternoon of June 14, 2014, a tragic shooting cut short the life of 26-year-old Antonio Dexter Smith II in the parking lot of the Canterbury Apartments in Carolina Forest, South Carolina, where he resided. The incident unfolded around 3:45 p.m. when witnesses reported hearing between four and six gunshots.
