In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in Swansea, South Carolina, the quiet of Calvary Church Road was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Before daybreak on June 25, 2024, a deputy responded to a call about a shooting and discovered a man who had been shot but was still conscious. A witness then directed the deputy down the road to a second victim. There, outside his home, lay 60-year-old Robert Todd Bailey, a resident of Swansea. He had been shot in the upper body.
