In the early morning hours of Sunday, April 28, 2024, the life of 23-year-old Rodney McKensey James Jr. was tragically cut short. The male victim, a resident of Wagener, South Carolina, was fatally shot multiple times in the parking lot of Amici Tavern located on Savannah Highway in the Swansea area of Lexington County. The incident unfolded at approximately 3:20 a.m. when deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the bar.
