In the summer of 2018, the life of 22-year-old Robert William All Jr. was tragically cut short in Swansea, South Carolina. On the night of July 11, authorities responded to reports of gunfire in the 100 block of Toole Smith Road. Upon arrival, they discovered All with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
An autopsy later confirmed that All had died as a result of the shooting, and his death was ruled a homicide.
The investigation into the young man's death quickly led law enforcement to identify a suspect: Charlie Don Robinson III, who also went by the name Corey Robinson. A search for Robinson was launched, with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department calling his apprehension a 'top priority.' Two days after the fatal shooting, Robinson was located and taken into custody by Lexington County Sheriff's Department and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division agents. He was subsequently charged with the murder of Robert William All Jr.
As the investigation progressed, two other individuals were arrested in connection with the crime. Robin Cunningham of West Columbia was charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy, while Morgan Carr of Lexington faced a charge of obstruction of justice. Evidence gathered by investigators indicated that the motive for the brutal slaying was the theft of the Nissan Altima that All had been driving, which he had borrowed from a friend. It was revealed that Robinson had asked All for a ride, and during the drive, he ordered All out of the car at gunpoint, struck him in the head, and then shot him multiple times. After the shooting, Robinson stole All's keys, phone, and wallet before fleeing in the stolen vehicle.
In March 2019, Charlie Don Robinson III pleaded guilty to the murder of Robert William All Jr. and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Later, in May 2023, Morgan Dayle Carr was also convicted for her role in the murder and armed robbery. Evidence presented at her trial showed that she had a previous relationship with All and was dating Robinson at the time of the murder. Prosecutors argued that Carr had orchestrated the plan to steal the car from All. She too received a 40-year prison sentence. The third individual, Robin Cunningham, was charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy for his alleged involvement.
