On May 22, 2016, at approximately 11:40 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at Awesome Shine Auto Detail on Michael Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 30-year-old Eddie Drummond Jr. in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mobile Fire-Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
