On April 9, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Silver Spring, Maryland, resulting in the death of 20-year-old Carlos Rashard Carter. In the early hours of Easter Sunday, just after 3 a.m., Montgomery County police officers responded to a report of an injured person at a residence in the 11800 block of Old Columbia Pike. Upon arrival, they found Carter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
