On May 18, 2023, a tragic incident occurred at the Wheaton Metro Station in Montgomery County, Maryland, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Tenneson Vaughn Leslie Jr. from Greenbelt. The incident began with an altercation between two groups of males who were previously unknown to each other on the station's escalator.
