On the night of May 14, 2023, at approximately 10:36 p.m., Montgomery County Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1300 block of Fenwick Lane in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland. Upon arrival, officers discovered 20-year-old Jedidiah Kehiku Ogboi-Gibson of Laurel, Maryland, in a parking lot, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, Ogboi-Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene.
