On September 2, 2024, at approximately 9:40 a.m., a tragic incident occurred in Silver Spring, Maryland, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Jamar Emmanuel Jenifer from Washington, D.C. The shooting took place in an alleyway in the 8000 block of 13th Street, about a block from the county line with Washington, D.C.
