Ayalew Wondimu, a 61-year-old convenience store clerk, was tragically killed on February 8, 2022, at the Shell gas station on New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland. The incident occurred when Torrey Damien Moore, 33, entered the store despite being previously banned. An argument ensued between Moore and Wondimu, escalating when Moore began throwing energy drink shot bottles at Wondimu.
