In a tragic turn of events at what should have been a solemn occasion, 30-year-old Ronald Steven Banks of Washington, D.C., was shot and killed on June 6, 2023. The male victim was attending a funeral service at Washington National Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland, where he was serving as a pallbearer for 10-year-old Arianna Davis, who herself was a victim of gun violence.
