In the early hours of a Memorial Day in 2007, the life of 46-year-old Chauncey Harold Jones was cut short in his Temple Hills, Maryland, home. The quiet of the morning was shattered around 2 a.m. by a fatal gunshot that echoed from the residence in the 3600 block of 24th Avenue.
