In the late afternoon of May 18, 2017, a tragic series of events unfolded in Temple Hills, Maryland, culminating in the death of 24-year-old Tavon Todd. The incident began in the parking lot of a business located in the 6300 block of Allentown Road. It was there that another 24-year-old man, Bernard Gibson III of Temple Hills, was captured on surveillance video firing shots at Todd's vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene.
