In the quiet neighborhood of Temple Hills, Maryland, a young life was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Jayz Agnew, a 13-year-old boy, was diligently raking leaves in his family's front yard on the afternoon of November 8, 2022, when he was struck by gunfire. The eighth-grader, who had been enjoying a day of asynchronous learning from school, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
