In the quiet residential area of Suitland, Maryland, a young life was abruptly cut short on the evening of Friday, January 29, 2021. Twenty-one-year-old Nakia Jamar Stewart Jr. was in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Shadyside Avenue when he was shot multiple times. The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m., shattering the calm of the neighborhood.
