On a warm Sunday evening in Annapolis, Maryland, a joyous birthday celebration turned into a scene of unimaginable horror, forever altering the lives of those present. On June 11, 2023, Christian Marlon Segovia, a 25-year-old Latino man from Severn, was tragically killed in a mass shooting that claimed two other lives and left three others wounded. The incident, which unfolded in the 1000 block of Paddington Place, stemmed from a seemingly trivial argument over a parking spot.
