On a quiet, tree-lined street in Dix Hills, a community within Huntington Station, New York, 74-year-old Armindo Reis, a retired male building contractor, was found dead in his home on June 11, 2019. His death was discovered after concerned neighbors, who had not seen him since the previous day, contacted his son. Upon entering the residence on Penn Drive, Reis's son found his father in the kitchen with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
