On February 17, 2024, at approximately 12:08 a.m., deputies from the Harford County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting at D&M's Tiki Bar and Crab Deck in Edgewood, Maryland. Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Dajuan Kyree Simmons of Aberdeen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Simmons was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.
