In the early morning hours of August 2, 2023, a call for a cardiac arrest brought deputies from the Harford County Sheriff's Office to the 600 block of Longwood Court in Edgewood. Inside a residence, they discovered the body of 33-year-old Tyrell Orlando Polley, a male who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. It was tragically not his first encounter with gun violence; a previous shooting incident years prior had reportedly left him with impaired vision.
