On July 29, 2024, at approximately 1:55 pm, Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 8500 block of Greenbelt Road in Greenbelt, Maryland. Upon arrival, they discovered 23-year-old Jordan Swan of Bowie in the parking lot of an apartment building, suffering from gunshot wounds. Swan was immediately transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
