Damon Norman "Dee" Washington, aged 31, was tragically shot on December 22, 2010, in the 9100 block of Edmonston Court in Greenbelt, Maryland. The incident left him with severe injuries, and he was subsequently admitted to the Gladys Spellman Specialty Care Unit, where he remained for nearly a year.
