On a Friday evening, August 9, 2024, the life of 34-year-old Terrell Hightower was tragically cut short in Capitol Heights, Maryland. A Black male resident of Temple Hills, Hightower was inside a home in the 4700 block of Pard Road when he was fatally shot. Prince George's County police officers responded to a report of the shooting at approximately 6:35 p.m. and found Hightower suffering from gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Prince George's County Police Department's Homicide Unit immediately launched an investigation into the fatal shooting. Detectives are actively working to determine a motive and to identify any suspect or suspects involved in the death of Terrell Hightower. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case, and the police have not released any details about potential suspects.
In an effort to gather more information and solve the case, the Prince George's County Police Department has offered a reward of up to $25,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for Hightower's death.
