In the quiet evening of September 19, 2011, a tragedy unfolded in Capitol Heights, Maryland, that would claim the life of 47-year-old William Albert Nelson. At approximately 8:58 p.m., the tranquilidad of the 20 block of Sultan Avenue was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When patrol officers from the Capitol Heights Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Nelson lying in the street, suffering from significant trauma to his body.
