On a winter afternoon, the quiet of a Capitol Heights, Maryland neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunfire. When police responded to the 300 block of Possum Court on December 22, 2023, they discovered 26-year-old Yohans Raynor inside a car, suffering from a gunshot wound. The young man, a resident of nearby Bowie, was rushed to a hospital with injuries that were described as life-threatening. For weeks, he fought for his life, but ultimately succumbed to his injuries on February 6, 2024. ...
