In the late afternoon of March 19, 2018, the life of 39-year-old Nicholas Duran Leonard was tragically cut short in Capitol Heights, Maryland. A Black male from the nearby community of Suitland, he was discovered inside a vehicle on Drylog Street, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. First responders were dispatched to the area after reports of gunfire and quickly transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
